MARCH 12 -5 degrees 1948 Polished Signe's chest of drawers, moved it to Roadt's rooms. Washed K's windows moved our bed to Frank's room (S. 1st floor). Moved our bed, mag. rack and basket of dished in from Wittenburg. At grade school 1 PM. 1949. Cleaned apt., baked cake, mended sox, shopped. Bought my first new sewing machine, a portable Continental. Finished our federal income tax figuring. Finished reading K. Roberts' "Lydia Bailey" 1950. Mother Skott and I went to church in Frank's Olds. I read "Abe Lincoln on Pigeon Creek" by Wilson. 1951. Hung white clothes outside, but they were snowed on. Ironed some. Showed Norway souvenirs and pictures to Vergie Anderson's Scout Cubs 4:15 - 5:15. 1952 Took K to Madison, waited much to see Dr. S. Quisling, who gave me a shot and something to make me sleep. A few errands, engaged Kenneth Orchard to probate will. He was here 9-11 PM after we went to church to see film slides. Had a flat tire.
