March 24 1948. Another sunny day. Put away a few things & wrote my "Corner," but haven't any pep or energy. Went to bank, P.O., T.T., & groc. before library. Readied some new books. 1949. Jrs. & Freshman saw "Meat and Romance" movie & Sophs., Walt Disney's "Bathing the Baby." Freshman began practical exam- making buttonholes, zippers, seams, etc. 1950. Haus woke up sick at 5:30 - I had a very messy bathroom to clean. He stayed in bed all day. After I finished ironing I felt weak to phoned Kae I would not be in for brunch. Read "Kinfolk" 1951. Finished blue (Chinese) needlepoint & put it on a dining room chair. Drove to Catholic bake sale & downtown. Typed '15 circle letter. Sloppy from melting snow. 1952. Mother Scott & I had early lunch after 9 took cut choir robes to Szelestey's, Groths, Mealeys. We left at 12:20. Got to Oskar's by 3- stopped at 112 1/2 Vermont St to see Wilber & Donnie, not well. Olga & AManda had gone; Melba to Rochester for Donnie. Car got splattered & iced from wet roads.
