APRIL 1 1948 In P.M. went in with Hans and Betty Roodt; showed pics and souvenirs to Int. Rel. group of Madison Woman's Club at Woman's Bldg. Frank got 5 pkg. bees. In eve he got sugar. From W's, I found my hat! 1949 Hans and I left Muscoda at 3:45. Found Frank sick with stomach flu. I waxed kitchen linoleum in eve. We saw a farmer discing. 1950 Baked a cake, cleaned apt. Hans in office all day - first time on a Sat. Mrs. Mealey in for robe I cut out. Hans made a shelf by south basement window for starting seeds. 1951. Wore suit. An inch of snow! Which melted by P.M. Took nap. Hans and I called on Prof. John Barton in eve, got K. who was in at Careers Conference all day. Didn't sleep till nearly 1. [illegible] 1952. Sunny, but increasing wind. I washed then Jen Upham did hers and Ella's. Hung outside. Worked on ledger. Voted in primary. Took Mrs. Offendahl, Edith K. walking with us to guest night Woman's Club. Roy Matson gave us clear cut story on NATO countries.
