APRIL 20 1948. Moitz not here! My shoulders ache first for long time, but did most of ironing and helped K make cold frame. I sawed the planks. Guild in eve. May Phillips talked. Sold a few more cards. 1949 Awake at 5:30 - too early. Freshmen studying color. Srs. working on food charts. To Walsh's after school. Read and rested in eve. Weather getting nice again. 1950 Cleaned bathroom thoroly and faced curtains for it. Paul Zeigler brought hog at 10. Mr. Vold and I used garage for our butcher shop. He ground my lard and Frank the sausage after he came home from beginning his 3" round of bees. I took nap and walked to P.O. I tire if I work too steadily. Froze the meat. 1951. Ironed. In on 10 AM bus to get another neuralgia shot home on 12:30. Nap. Walked to church before 3, took glass plates for cookies, brass tray for wedding cake. Saw Anna Drake and Winston Olson married at 4. Edith K, Deone, Janet, Ruth and I and Avis (Guild officers) helped serve sherbet, ice cream, cake, coffee. 81 degrees 1952. Awake a while, slept till nearly 8. K and I to S.S. Dale K and Frank here for lunch after we finished. K drove in for PM. work at hospital. I went with Hafstads to new parsonage then past Shortsmen's Clubhouse, Pine Bluff. Saw lambs and pigs.
