APRIL 27 1948. Hilda and I did a huge washing, she hanging first reel full. It rained on dark clothes. Was to have been in recognition service at WSCS at Portage 1949. Freshmen painted color wheels. Donna Sobek and Janet Green came to nursery school. Very warm. Went to Soph. Barn dance in gym. from 8-12. Hans has Wed. eve classes now. 1950 (see preceding page) 74 degrees 1951. Worked outside both AM and P.M. Shower drove me in. Planted more peas and NZ spinach. Transplanted "Old Man" to narrow border near garage. Hemmed 2 dish towels. 1952. 116 at S.S. Some classes outdoors. Just Frank and I here. Cooked chicken and noodles. Napped, wrote letters, inc. a German one to Marie.
