APRIL 30 1948. Waxed my old cedar chest and with it in our bedroom, packed away woolens. Tried filling and waxing under side of library tabletop. Dagmar Petersen of Denmark here for supper and overnight (visiting uncle in Cambridge). 80 degrees 1949. Cleaned out apt. then when Hans went to Lyle Wilson's, I went to visit Alice Stanek. In P.M. I found no one home so visited with Mrs. Archie Anderson. Dinner with Grant Co. Ag. teachers at Hotel, bridge at Mitchell's. 1950 Kathryn up a while in P.M. Hans to S.S. I stayed home, Frank heard Rev. Stanke at Marshall. Signe here from 2 to 6:30. John and Lois Shafer came, stayed for supper. Anna May here awhile. 70 degrees 1951 Hans left for Alma at 6. Anna May home with flu and a cough. I divided lemon lilies, did washing, washed windows on outside on N. and S. sides of house, took off 6 storm windows, hosed and put on 6 screens. To Civic band concert at HS with K. 87 degrees 1952 Took Deone's things back on way to Madison. Got blueprints, a nylon blouse. [Put?] $5000 in savings at Anchor Savings and Loon.
