MAY 7
1948. Drove out to Zeigler's for milk before breakfast. Hilda hung up big washing I did. Showed Chinese pics. and articles to 4", 5", and 6th grade for 1 1/2 hours. Baked cookies. Tired.
1949. Cleaned apt. Hans and I had our passport pics. taken. To Wittenberg in eve to discuss their buying place. Felt a cold coming on.
1950. Hans, K and I to church in Frank's car. Ellen and Mrs. Story here in PM, Sig and Marion Dunn, Darlene Buck, and Mary Wheeler here in eve to project their Ozarks and N.O. pictures.
1951. Hans to Neillsville for week. Thru washing by 9:30. Nap, as didn't sleep after 3. Hammed 4 dishtowels. To Comm. Council in eve. Upstairs in village hall. Robt. [Isaksen?] new pres.
50 degrees 1952 Awoke 12:15 till Frank came at 2. K and I put out trash, ironed. Started first furnace fire for 12 days. Rained all P.M. I was at Branch Co. an hr. Made a lot of sugar syrup Frank fed to bees. Sig and Loraine here.
