1948. We heard Linn Weirwell of Plymouth Mission school at church. So tired I didn't stay for S.S. 1949. Had flag out all day. Hans has another bad headache so stayed home. Lois Shafer, K + I drove to Little Norway, cutting wiener sticks along roadside. John brought Signe, Owev + Kae, + Dadleen Bunk. Fine day for picnic. Dozed till 4 then home via Cross Plains. 1950. Left with Mother Skott at 9, were an hr. or more at Buckhorn cemetery, with Olga + Sondra, Amanda, Wilbur, Francis'. Chat with Vashti Haimstock, Nels Scott, Mrs. Art Weirup + others. To Oskar's, Velma's there. Call on Dr. + Mrs. Swift. Visit Roy + May Dyas. Fine damage to house. Had roast beer, tea, etc. I drove home 3 1/3 hrs. via gratist. Hans had headache. 1951. Sunny - for glad, and for my washing, most of which I did before breakfast. Hans + I drove to garden + hoed peas, melons, + beans. K did corn. Nap in PM. Made rhubarb crisp. 1952. Anna May + father left for Balsam Lake. Rainy. Frank + I took bouquet to cemetery. Bill Parker here for lunch + supper. Signe came in Marian's car for the P.M. I finished seams in my lilac check dress. Made shortcake. She took picture of flag.
