1948. After 3 day "holiday," I went down + got paper cups, baked 18 cupcakes for Woman's Club. Also Gold cake + Greta's frosting. She May. Phillip + I were hostesses with Mrs. Tiedemann for 30 - a fine turnout. I acted as Sec. They played Court Whist. read in "Sound of Chariots" in eve. 1949. Drove to Lillian Storms' from Gen. Cooper's but she wasn't home. At Joanne Annear's, + in P.M. to Audrey Hach + Helen Kosharek's. Heavy rain. In eve worked on my Home Ec. library inventory. 1950. Up at 5. Frank went to Paynetts yards. Ironed 9 shirts, etc. mended several sox, made red plaid apron for Kathryn, cut out my pale blue organdy dress. Made rhubarb pie. Cool. Bound 16" x 27" piece of stair carpet for archway rug. 1951. More rain. Dug up a good many annuals, 3 sedums, etc for Dora. I piloted them to Ph. Branch on their way to Owen's. Got a lot of orders (by phone) for church annual. Mr. + Mrs. La Rock here in eve. 1952. Furnace off again - I hope for summer. K + I to church + S.S. Wrote letters. Took Ethel Salchenberger to see Ruby Schaefer in P.M. Brought K from Sig's after she missed bus at 6:45
