JUNE 10 1948. Up at 5, waxed hall, wrote "Corner" Mr. Vold gave us a lot of frozen bluegills. Anna May left for ALA at Atlantic City. Gave Mrs. Offerdahl a doz. "tetra" snaps and tomato plants. 1949. Cut and made my "wrinkle proof" heavy print dress. Shrunk dimity for blouse, pressed some clothes for Frank, dusted hall and stairs. Applicants for the rooms the Roodts occupied, here in eve. Doris Miller and Jim Sharp. 1950. Cool, slept with Dora. Mary Ellen Leffler there while her folks in Indiana. To class luncheon at Friley Hall, 100 inc. several faculty, wives, etc. Alumni banquet in Great Hall. Sarah Field among those honored. I wore faille suit. 1951. Bath, breakfast, packed. Hans and I left at 7:30. I drove from Dubuque to W.L. 190 mi. from home. Dinner at George's. Fresh strawberries. To see George's farms. and $80000 addition to Meth. Church. Television at George's. 1952 Ironed, Ken Orchard, Robert Isaksen and Fred Zarndt here at 9, the latter 2 to appraise my property. Worked 3 1/2 hrs. for Branch Co. finishing and sending their statements.
