June 20
1948 Mother S. went to church with us. Rev. Ivy of Prairie du Chien preached. Hilda home - overnite drive from Defiance, Ohio. Owen out for dinner. Hans quite sick with headache and temperature.

1949  92 degrees. Hans took K to 8 a.m. train to Greencastle, Ind. to missionary conference. He was at Voc. Conference. Put in our apt. to rent for summer and we rented it to Mr and Mrs Lund of Philipps, Wis. I did big washing, put tuck in nylon slip.  At Wittenburg with Bruce Kirkpatrick.

1950 We served cocoa and cookies at Vacation Bible School. Finished ironing - K did a lot yesterday. 26 or so members at guild - elected me Pres. unanimously! New officers served ice cream and strawberries.

1951 Wrote some letters, typed Pauline's UN article (about flag). Walked downtown.  Hung my washing all in south yard. "Gillie" here for call - 1st time here.

1952 Picked 3 qt strawberries, froze 3 cheese boxes full. Rain all forenoon after that. To Dr. Harned's - took my pillow along! Worked at Branch 3 hrs. and did circulars in eve. No work on house today. Furnace fire in eve - only first (?) this mo.
