1949 Frank and Signe went to Epunth, 10 yr reunion of Sig's class. Made jello and took pecan cookies to picnic at Mendota hospital grounds at 12, a lovely place. Hans' first time there. Only 2 tables full. Comm. church and S.S. I drove home by 4, then it really rained. Hans left for Muscado in eve.

1949 Refit and sewed blue jersey dress cut out a year ago. Bought groc. for Denmark, also plastic tablecloths. Put new cover on Jim's ironing board. Dale went to country to work. In PM Dr. M cleaned my teeth. Helen phoned in eve.

1950 Hoed till 1 when Amy Gerling called from Madison. She and Paul and Sarah Ann came for 6:30 supper. I baked bread, frosted cookies, cleaned apt. Drove in to get auto license at 3. Had to wait. Hans home with me at 5. Showed pics.

1951 More rain. Letter writing. Delores played canasta in eve with K and me and won handily.

1952 Cooler. K washed living room curtains and davenport cover; I washed l.r. windows, vacuumed stairs, etc. Painted 9 storm windows. Chimney nearly done.  First sheeting goes on roof.
