July 3 1948 Baked gingerbread, mopped. Hans came home at noon. Not as busy as usual in the library. Finally got several windows open in library and village hall. 1949 Still beastly hot. Sewed snaps in 2 jersey dresses and shoulder pads. Packed, napped. Lund's went on picnic. Signe came out in time for supper in yard. 1950 Showery day, but finally got washing dry, some ironed. Baked upside down cake. Dale here for supper. Wrote 7 in PM. Hans in Madison office. 1951 Drizzly AM so couldn't get peas from the Heights till PM. Went to bank, P.O., grocery. Mrs. Gibson here briefly. 1952 K and I to Madison, I for osteo on new diathermy machine. Sent card to a Chicago firm I hope can repair my Perfex camera. Helped Terry S fertilize shrubs, vacuumed stair carpet, defrosted freezer, typed labels for Br. circulars.
