July 19 1948 Cut out blouse of white jersey dress. Jay and Edith Whitson came from St. Paul while I was at library. They went to Brush's. John and Miriam B. came out in eve and we showed pics. 1949 I got my request in for entrance into Germany. Took 2 pics in AM and 2 in PM. We took train to Tollose, had dinner at hotel, taxi to Aastrup Kloster. Tea with Emma Siboni. She showed ;us all around old 16th Century home of a count. Rain, no more good light for pics. 1950 Ironed, baked white bread and oatmeal cookies. Pouring rain again, 3" in forenoon. 9-1/2" so far in July - record breaking. 8" in last 4 days.
