July 27 1948 Up before (illegible), waxed floor in Frank's room. Mrs Ruth White, Areva, stopped for me and we attended vocational Home Ec. teachers' conference at Ag Hall. Lunch at Kronshage Hall. To Manchester's afterward. Jesse Cornelius here to see K. To donkey ball game in eve. 1949 When Mette was baking cake and bread, I made a pie at their request - Solbar pie. Hans picked the berries. Used a baking dish. We showed our Chinese Kodachromes in school. 50 or 60 there. 1950 87 degrees Cleaned up apt. In P.M. Mrs Albers was here and we stamped 3 pr. pillowcases. I cut out 2 aprons, all for Guild. I crochet a little each day. Warmer. Watered N. flowerbed. 1951 Drove to Anna May's garden, also to ours - got beans, sw. corn, potatoes and ch. cabbage. Cooled off in eve from hail NW. Hans in office - his last day with PMA. 1952 Awake from 3:50 when Frank went fishing with Cliff McDonald - then slept till 7. Waffle breakfast then we met Sig at Dirienzo's and order granite stone for family marker. Cleaned the 6 fish. Jane and Fayne here in P.M. HOT. Sig home 6:15, K and M.P. left at 4:30.
