OCTOBER 13 1948. Awake 2 to 4. Nap after school. "Chief Minnesota" talked at 1st lyceum no. in P.M. Hans and class went to a PM demonstration and no class in eve, so I only had 8. Mrs LeVin heard we had good mtg at Avoca 1949. Headache, but ironed. Hans vacuumed rugs. Letter from Sarah Chakko that Kathryn is sick - enteric. To Mrs. Elmo Cooper's in Nakoma for tea for WSCS. 25 or so there - many I knew. Mr and Mrs. Ogden of Crestwood brought me home. Lillian and Uncle Dick Wehrs came. 1950. Slept in K's bedroom, but not from 2-4 or more. Painted 7 windows on outside. Solicited final cookies and cake for Mrs. Morgan's birthday tea. Mrs. Albers here while I rested. 1951 Back to cleaning the Apt. and stairs, now K is in Madison. Frank came in eve for over night. for Capital Jwp. Co 1952 Slept 7 1/2 hrs straight. At 2121 Univ. by 7:30. After upper bathroom linoleum laid I nailed on 1/4 rounds so painter could do them. Frank and I put up mailboxes - st. nos. at Harold Wells the lights. Worked at Branch [2?] 1/2 hrs. many visitors.
