NOVEMBER 3 1948. School out at 1, then lunch (orange juice at 11). At 3 I rode with Mr and Mrs Scott to Milwaukee Rained on way. Stayed with Anna May Vold in Medford Hotel 1949 Painters did last coat - deep cream enamel kitchen and lt. blue bathrooms. Did large ironing, cleaned up house. In eve, showed pics to Messrs. and Mmes. Art Hasler, John Workman, and Max La Rock's Served crax and German cheese, Chinese tea in Ch. tea set. 1950. Painted 5 storm windows on 1 side. Baked bread and cake. Hemmed sides of 3 pr. church curtains. Nap in PM. Downtown. K. home as could find no place to sleep in Milwaukee. 1951 Snow from 10 to 4 - several inches, tho light. Walked to bank and P.O to send big order. Baked cookies, started lavender flowered apron for bazaar. Frank home at noon. He and Dale K went duck hunting. 1952 K printed pics all AM. I took her to 12:30 Dubuque bus. Put weather strip on my kitchen door, struggled with my bank statements, finally concluding they were O.K. Worked on books 1 1/2 hrs. then went to Jolly Homemakers at Heebink's. Ate sherbet, but
