NOVEMBER 4 State Teachers' Convention at Milw. 1948 Dreamed Anna May salted a pickle! Walked with her to Milw. Auditorium. Lunch alone at Medford Coffee Shop. To Utilities and in PM for Home Ec sectional mtg. in charge of Miss Zuill. Shopped a little. Heard Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in eve. 1949. Painters gave cornices second coat - lucky to get it done. Heard Premier Nehru, over WHA from Mem. Union - in Surveyor Owens' new Plymouth, while we were out hauling in 3 loads stuff from attic. The O'Bridges are moving in our old house which they bought. 1950. Painted 2 k. storm windows on both sides, and 2 on 1 side. Baked choc. chip cookies. We put on last storm windows. K and I went briefly to St. Luke's bazaar. Sunny P.M. K making spool and inner tube toys for handcraft class. 1951. So cold and snowy I didn't go to church, but as K came on 9:30 bus, we 3 went to SS current affairs discussion group, led by Ed Kromrey. Sig came at 2. K had to be back at dist kitchen by 4. We played 500 and Canasta. 1952 it caused a lot of gas but slept 5 1/2 hrs. A beautiful washday, 21 degrees warmer than yesterday. Wore suit to Women's Club. Voted Dem. ticket - tho Reps. got in for 1st in 20 years. Worked 2 hrs on books, finishing Oct. Put on kitchen and bathroom storm windows.
