NOVEMBER 6 1948 Anna May came in after midnight and we slept till 8:45! We went to final Conv. mtg, had Chinese lunch at Hoy Toy's. Rode home with Mr and Mrs Scott, but stopped in Madison to see Mary Helen. Hans beat me home a while. 64 degrees 1949. "Family Sunday" at church. We went with Heebink's. Took my rose "mums". First quiet Sunday in months. Wrote several letters. Windy. 1950 K and her dad left at 6:45 for Pardeeville and Manawha. Some indigestion, but washed, baked bread, painted last storm windows - (the kitchen upstairs, their 3" coat.). Mrs. Foster and Susan here in P.M. To Comm. Council in eve. 1951 Cleaned some in basement, ironed, hung ruffled curtains back on triple window. To Blaschke's for luncheon with 12 others and Mrs Trayser of Div. of Info. and Program Services. Woman's Club. Ate dessert there, gingerbread. Study of Near East. Mr. Rabe here in eve. 1952. Colder. Slept 7 hrs. Worked on remaking Hans' good overcoat for Frank. Took Mrs. Utter her Christmas cards. Went with Mary Thielke and Louise Schwarz to Regional Dist. Garden Club at 1st Baptist Church.
