NOVEMBER 7 1948. Cleaned up the Apt. and stairs. Baked my first bread since July! Went to church. Hans and I out to pull bean poles and dig carrots. Sig out for dinner. I took her back. We found Owen's not home. To Muscoda by 9. 1949. Nov. temperature records broken. Letter which Kathryn dictated, so she is improving. We put on our last storm windows and I washed our bedroom curtains. Anna May and I discussed plastic curtains. 1950 Did small ironing, stitched 3 pr. drapes for church. Crocheted on second pillowcase lace. Woman's Club in PM. Mrs. Roffalle a guest. Book reviews and diabetes movie. 1951. Mr. Vold pushed snow off walks. I swept some. Sig drove as far as Janesville, couldn't get to Burlington. 8" snow there. I called on Elaine Szelestey, Alma Roberts, Mrs. Gruber, U. Salem. Got Hans at Sunnyside at 5. Made 3.40. Guild asked to serve a wedding reception on Thanksgiving. 1952. Awake too early and didn't feel too good. Worked spare time on Frank's coat, packed and sent box to Marie Radtke, with my royal blue suit. Planted last narcissus, south of house. Sent $1000 and check to Tank. Ella here in eve. She plans to rent The Gull sometime maybe
