NOVEMBER 23 1948 Freshmen made cocoa. I got Doris Rohovitz to sell tickets for me at basketball game + I went to woman's club at Mitchell's. 1949. Up at 4:15, made bread, napped some til 7. Baked bread, cleaned house, went to Madison with Hans in Chevrolet, bought 3 pr. plastic curtains at Hills, hemmed them + put them up. Draw turkey + stuffed it, clipped 85 db. postcards to mail for Bazaar. 12[degrees] 1950 Up at 7, breakfast for 6: Dale K + Carl Jacobson back from deer hunting. Pumpkin pie for breakfast! + dinner, roast duck, salsify, etc. Sig here from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM. I sewed lace on pillowcase, crocheted, played Canasta with girls + 500 in eve with Hans, too. Boys at Zeigler's dinner 20[degrees] 1951 12[degrees] below normal. Finished a pink pillowcase + a dish towel, began another + made most of yellow voile apron for bazaar. Downtown in P.M. Much phoning, but not many home. 1952. Many details - tie up box of Denmark, water + move plants, order more from greenhouse for [Blanch?] Bauman's funeral, + take from church to Gruber's. Left at 2:15, took Homemaker's writeup to print shop, mail letters in Dubuque, inc.. Chr. card order. Gravel road Dodgeville-Belmont. At Reeder's for supper. To Walchter's in Farley by 7.
