NOVEMBER 24 1948. Demonstrated junket to freshmen. School out at 2:15. Hans arranged for me to ride home (via Sauk City) with Harvey Sugden. Got home at 4. Shopped. 1949 Hilda couldn't come for Thanksgiving as so foggy planes were grounded at Spokane. 2" snow here. Bake apple + pumpkin pies. Signe came at 9:30. Frank + Dale K + Cooper couldn't make it till noon- then he had CO poisoning. We had turkey, limas, etc. I crocheted edge on doily + one pillowcase. -7[degrees] 1950 Frozen cars, etc. Hans to Madison office in bus, Frank to Monona village in his Model A eventually. I packed box for Spieshofer's, Dale K mailed it. Sewed, crocheted, made lunch for Dale + "Jake" + supper in eve for 6. Started apron with black rick-rack trim. 1951. Sunny for a change. Baked whole wheat raisin bread + rolls, cleaned apt. + hall. Sent for my free $10.98 dress for first 3 mo. for Fashion Fox. Got tulip bulbs from Germany! 1952. Rita + Carl left at 5 for Maq factory, Henry + Eldon soon after then Pauline + I slept till 8! I left at 10:30, am. Ames 3. Falling snow from W'loo. Rex has cast off his foot. Dora + I to Edna Mitchell's in eve. She resting after 1st week's work after operation. Anna Wilson there (has been for mo). Television.
