NOVEMBER 29 1948 Begin "plastics" study with Seniors. Busy at school till 5 - then walked downtown. Got 2" 6 wks. report cards out - with a lot of "Incs" as girls not thru dresses. To library in eve. 52 degrees 1949 Fine day, mild. Hemmed some towels for bazaar. To Madison with the O'Bridges, who settled for the place at Harrington's. Home on 4:10 bus. Hemmed more towels. Wrote news and publicity on bazaar. 1950. Made most of 12 yr. old dress, helped K with 5 posters for village, canned 13 qt. cranberries. Fell on snow when Mrs. Phelps brought them. Jarred me a little. Mary Phillips brought big pile of warm clothes for Spieshofer's. 1951. Hans better but must rest in bed. Callers: Mr. Husebo, Ruby Schaefer, Henry, Anna May. Made fudge and pinoche. Finished set of 5 dishtowels for bazaar. Planted 35 imported tulips. Sent our new Christmas "balls" to church for "decoration". 1952 Still fighting off a cold. At 9 Mr. Kromrey and I called on the Axel Petersen family, since Tues. with his sister, Mrs. Paul Degen in my larger apt. He arranged for school with Kirsten and Anne. I shopped. Worked 4 hrs. at Branch in PM and 1 hr. in eve on books.
