DECEMBER 1 1948 Nice weather; Freshmen cooked 4 cereals. Srs. have reports on nylons - Sophs. begin on our "milk bottle train". Hans and I sawed spools for it on power saw. Snowed all A.M. 1949 Baked bread, painted rest of dishtowels took nap 1 1/2 hrs. We and Uncle Chris drove in Volds car to Muscoda. Hans sprained rt. wrist. We showed pics to GI group. Had supper at Fred Lentz' in our old apt. Hilda at Hallocks for supper. 1950. Finished smock by 9:30. Deone Rabe and I cleaned much of church kitchen in P.M. TIRED. In eve bazaar comm. chairmen and helpers and 4 men arranged basement for bazaar. Excellent workers. 1951. (Nov. 30). Cleaned house, made print apron for bazaar. Downtown - ordered violet rayon dress for Dora to pay for tulips. To church in eve to help get ready for bazaar. Mrs. Hofstad and I arranged our booth. 1952 Snowed nearly all day. Typed statements for 3 hrs in Branch office in AM. To Center homemakers party in village hall in PM. Not a large crowd - too snowy. Glad to have new tires. Used new shovel to push snow off then took it to new house. Frank in bed - stomach flu.
