JANUARY 20 1917. Mamma packed up some of George's things at his place. I did the Sat. work alone - pumpkin pies, grape-apple butter, swept, mopped, washed my hair, made comfort-protector. 1918. A fine mild day. Went to church twice to hear Rev. Dale's last sermons here. Had cattle outdoors a while. got letter from Olga, and wrote to Olga, Amanda, Hans, and Reno, and card home. 1919. Sewed on blue dress, Mrs. Stewart helping with suggestions and scissors, when I went there in P.M. enjoying use of buttermilk Margaret brot me yesterday, also the new cheese. Got circle letter, and wrote in it, and to Hazel Scott. 1920. Letter from Hans. Mamma and papa got home from Sis' about 1:00 A.M. Hilda didn't sleep well, was "off feed" and had some fever in P.M. Probably caused by teething. She only took four small feeds instead of the five usual ones. I hemmed three more towels and cut out white shirt for Hans. 1921. Did a Lux washing for Hilda and "Johnny." Helped Hans an hour, while he chased cows out of fodder field in the awful mud. So tired I had to sleep in P.M. did some mending in evening.
