February 14 1917. Met Victor Riley for first time. He and Flo were married at 12:30. I played "Lohengrin". Helped Celia Peterson and Nettie Olson serve a 3 course wedding dinner to about 40, practically all relatives. Wrote it up for papers. went on train east with newlyweds. 1918. Packed my book box. Dried potatoes, baked chocolate cake. Red Cross in P.M. where I finished crocheting trench helmet- certainly beats knitting - for me. Went to Degernes' and sold her land, etc. 1919. Snowed all night and most of day, sun peeping out once. I made me another short gown from old seersucker one. Crocheted on bedspread edge and on flannel petticoat. Spent a couple hours with Mrs. Gallup. Walked to town after supper to get letters from mamma and Amanda. worked on M.W. order. 1920. -7°. Snowed again. Feel pretty good again. Crocheted blue edge on hdkf for Velma, ironed several curtains. Finished my crocheted rug. 1921. Signe is beginning to be awake several hours in daytime now. Keeps me busy to get housework done and meals prepared, and wash a little for Signe each day. letter from Edith Bliss and baby book from a firm in Clinton. Rev. and Mrs. Snyder here in P.M.
