March 15 1917. A fit wash-day at last. I worked on my rug, shamrock party tally-cards, and my crocheted insertion. I got my results of Jan-Feb. grocery costs (of groceries bought) written to send. Average cost per meal .033. 1918. Our household goods are here- in 20 days- not too bad. I got city dray line to haul them up to our new brown bungalow on North Dakota St. Edna Peterson (Hans' stenographer) invited me to dinner. I unpacked dishes, bedding, light bulbs, etc. A wreck delayed Hans' return. 1919. Sunny again. I cleaned up house. Finished Hans' second khaki shirt, embroidered some on little dress, started crocheting edging on novelty braid. We walked to town library in evening. Got sausage and lard from Hans' folks. 1920. Fierce wind all day dried up some mud. Adela home with headache. I filled two straw ticks, scrubbed a set of springs, mailed some letters, etc. My goose began laying. Letter from Helena. 1921. Washed flannels + diapers. A windy day. Signe awake till midnight. Adela stayed all night, first for many weeks. Alfred Moore began working for us. Cecil Eye also here for dinner.
