March 20 1917. (Should be on previous page, March 19). I cut out Helen's new black and white plaid suit and worked on it all day -box pleated skirt and Norfolk jacket. Arnold left. 1918. 70°. Washed more windows, and Hans helped me put up curtains. Made out last seed order. My first callers- Mrs. Simons and Mary Elizabeth, and Mrs. Dunlap. Went with Hans to Jim Olson's and Kerns' after an early supper here. I'm learning to drive our Ford. 1919. Raw March wind. Sunny in P.M. I wrote to Sis and to Cousin Emma, crocheted, finished embroidering bottom of dimity dress. Had a little more "pep"- mopped bathroom, baked cake and cornbread. Took nap in P.M. 1920. Snow nearly all disappeared. Sunny. I baked oatmeal cookies, swept hired man's room upstairs also back stairway; washed mud off bedstead and helped set it up. In P.M. Adela helped me clean front room. We screwed top on library table. 1921. We went to Han's folks for dinner. "Lizzie" has good roads to go on. Hans made screen frames for his folks. Babies and I took a nap. Got big fat Quill circle letter.
