1917-1921 - 04-06

April 6
1917. Got up with the pink-eye-Wow! But I swept and mopped, etc. + raked yard. Hans came down from Norway, where he was school-prospecting, and got out here about 3:30. We discussed the recently declared war, etc.
1918. Baked chocolate cake and quick coffee bread, made another flat for Brussels sprouts, etc. and transplanted them. Mopped, etc. Anna and I went to Burbank with Hans for his seed corn meeting, but we did not perform-just crocheted. Wrote circle letter.
1919. Weather still cloudy. My real troubles begin - hard to feed Hilda. Mr. + Mrs. Miller and Mr Gallup in to see baby in evening. Helena sent Hilda gold bib pins. I got card from Mrs. Wilson where she stays. 
1920. Got up tired. Cold windy day - so two litters of pigs arrived. We had to feed some on old bottle of Hilda's. Hans here for dinner. Ironed in P.M. Baked cream cake, baked beans.
1921. Got my work done nicely. Rained in night.
