April 12 1917. Helped wash. Worked two hours or more on my bedspread, also began the cream crochet lace for its edge. Raked yard an hour or so. 1918. Got my ironing done finally - only took two hours when I got at it. Letter from Helena. Called at Dahlberg's and Cole's. taking a second supper at the latter. 1:00 at Garfield Twp. hall for our meeting. Home again at 12:30. 1919. Sunny day- first since Hilda came. She kept Mrs. Meleen awake till 3:00 A.M. I gave her her bath after dinner, then Mrs M. went home. I wrote Sis, took sleep, read. Mrs Gallup here in evening. 1920. Choring most of the day, in and out doors, while the men all were finishing seeding on other farm. I fed weaned "little hoggies", made more hen nests, cleaned up men's room, waited on Adela, sick with flu, worked little while on my hat. My first chick hatched. 1921. Hazel did washings, and stayed with Signe while Hans and I put in garden seeds, down in 4 Acre field back of hoqhouse - 2 lettuce, 2 radishes, carrots, parsnips, salsify, kohlrabi, 2 cabbage, only + late peas, spinach. Adela baked a cake.
