May 19 1917. Mamma pulled my plaster off. Hemmed my third napkin, crocheted. Took Helen's picture by the blooming Belleflower. Spent P.M. outdoors again. Thermometer up to about 90°. Our boys finished corn planting. This has been a fine week for weather. 1918. A nice day. We walked to post office and greenhouse in P.M. Mended glass covers to forcing boxes that the hail broke last night. We took a ride about town in evening. Transplanted some summer pine to front of house. 1919. Cleaned up house, mopped kitchen, etc. Amanda here in P.M. I helped her start green and white dress, and sewed some on my waist. She came again in evening and helped plant potatoes in big garden. I helped plant out 96 tomato plants there. Got circle letter. Wrote to mamma. 1920. I helped Constance iron, made 1 1/2 qt. fig-rhubarb jam, painted upstairs room floor again, transplanted about 50 strawberry plants; Adela, Hilda, and I took Hans' lunch out in buggy. Hans finished planting over 70 acres corn. Letters from Sis + mamma. Wrote card to Margaret W. 1921. Cut out blue percale dress mamma gave me, helped Minnie finish ironing. Hilda and I at Lafe Scott's a little while. Adela passed up her school work this year.
