May 30 1917. Worked more than four hours on my spread. Hans came back from Minnesota, arriving in the evening. 1918. Hans had a vacation, as it is a holiday. He remodeled our house plan. I crocheted 3 daisies, not feeling like doing much. We replanted peanuts in evening, coming home soon before a terrific wind and rain storm. Rained most of the night. 1919. We went to Uncle John's in P.M. and stayed for supper. Rained while there. Stopped at Charlie's and found Glen Stillinger just back from France. Marjorie, 9 mo. old, is big and fat. 1920. We went to Henry Shcneider's for dinner. Took Otto Weideman's with us. Had blow out on way. Stayed for lunch. Alf. Ruggeberg's + Beuna Patterson also there. Virgil Schneider, 6 wks. older than Hilda, walks, but is not so large. 1921. Hoed in garden, cut out gray gingham rompers for Hilda, bound in plain, and sewed some on them. Cooler. Washed blankets in morning. Only 1 chick hatched from 2 settings of eggs I sent for!
