October 19 1917. Made two glasses of grape jelly, and two of jam, and put up a quart of juice, totaling more than 100 qts. I have canned this year up here. Cleaned up the house- and myself. Blackman's entertained the faculty in evening at progressive whist. I got 1 punch! Fine eats. 1918. Rained most of the night. I baked pumpkin pies, scrubbed front porch, etc. Hans made dandy pair of shelves for me in basement. I crocheted, wrote to Anna. Letter from mamma. August came in in time for supper. 1919. We went to church. Hilda was pretty good. Lighted Amanda's birthday cake at dinner. Rained in P.M. Wrote to mamma and Sis. Hans and I called on Oscar Ellefson's in evening. They live in town now. Ran home in the rain. 1920. Finished washing just at 10. Patched Hilda's stockings on knees; finished up some of yesterday's work and began some of tomorrow's. 1921. Minnie finished ironing and cleaned sewing room. In P.M. I drove Ford to Nashville to party Mrs. Halley gave old Guild officers. Took Miss Hunter and Mrs. John Scott. Auditing comm. Mrs. Schwab, Mrs. Hal Walker, + myself, worked most of P.M.
