October 24 1917. More letters- Anna Wilson, Emily H., and mamma, and announcement of new daughter to Mr. + Mrs. M.L. Mosher. Nearly finished ironing. Mrs. Cogswell and I called on Mrs. John Hansen and Mrs. Blackman. Hans and I printed pictures in school house. 1918. Edna wasn't well, I took her place in the office all day. Card indexed a letter file for Hans, also did some handwork on a kimono and crocheted on doily. Quite chilly with wintry wind. 1919. Baked one large and 8 individual pumpkin pies. Made collar for wool dress. Finished Hilda's blue and white wool crocheted jacket. We drove to Spirit Mound hall for box supper. Program by 5 rural schools. Amanda and I took our suppers in pumpkins. Ate with [illegible]. 1920. Wrote to Millie and Aunt Emma. Sunny and warm- flies a pest. We took Hilda to the field in her cart and we pulled three sackfuls navy beans. 19
