1917-1921 - 11-26

November 26
1917. Several days of gray weather brought snow at last. Washed four storm sash- one pane broken by wind at night. Baked fig gingerbread. Spent P.M. at Cogswell's, where I hemstitched the second half of third side of tablecloth.
1918. Ironed 2 1/2 hrs, mended all but hose. I helped Mrs. Stewart finish up kits. Walked to town. Letter from mamma. Crocheted on ecru collar and copied off cross stitch design from little dress Mrs. Stewart is making. Mrs. J.T. Olson sent us in big Rhode Island rooster for our Thanksgiving dinner.
1919. A heavy snow nearly all day. Did some more packing. We were up at Denison's for supper. Letter from grandma Elissat, and Helen.
1920. Washed a ten days' washing, in the kitchen, as machine works better than in my cold washhouse. Started crocheting pink and white bootees. Hilda is cross, and not well yet. Miss Hunter here in evening for milk- home for T-vacation.
