JANUARY 15 Baked nut bread. W.H.M.A. at Edna Maxwell's in P.M. Crocheted. Letters from Emily H & 7. Rendered about a can of lard. Zero or colder. Hans home in P.M. Roads icy all week. Woke at 3 with bad sore throat again -- doped it, then slept from 6 to 8! Girls helped wash, cleaned & baked. I sewed last strip on my 4 patch quilt. Frank quit guitar lessons for now Letters from Emily H, Helene, Hans On time at S.S. tho roads icy. Thawed by noon. First sore throat since my tonsillectomy, but not bad. Taught our class. Wrote Hans.
