FEBRUARY 15 1936. Signe baked cake, K-cookies, + I, bread. Finished 1st sleeve of my blue crocheted sweater. Hans phoned me from Maq. - back from Ames. 1937. Mended, wrote Mrs. Kenderdine + Mrs. Pownall, sent order, drove to C.O. Turned stormy in eve, drove to Eden Maxwell's for Garden Club. Only 4 came 1938. Hans to Waukesha for 2 days. I baked apple pie + got dinner for Mr. + Mrs. Brandt + her sister + brother (Olaf + Joan. They moved to other side of McFarland. Ruth + Joan here for supper. We have their radio on trial. 1939. Washed in 2 hrs. Took nap. Cold. Mended some. Read in Van Loon's History of Mankind. Card from Hans he spent Sunday at Falmouth with Al 19
