1936. House cleaning began with Signe cleaning pantry and Hilda washing kitchen woodwork while I washed windows & mopped.

Sunny 1937. Wrote to Dora & Emily H. Easter—girls attended sunrise service, & we listened to Easter morning services at St. Louis, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, & Honolulu. $3 collection from my class of 7. Hans at Olga's & came home very sick from Oskar's silage.

1938. To Madison at 7:30 with girls. Wrote cards to May [Dyas?], Dora, Miss Aitchison & Edna Maxwell. Hunted in W. Madison for house—no luck. Saw Mr. [last name] who has one to rent for 75! Took Emma Hadley to H Ec Club—Consumer mtg in College Club. No furnace fire. Confab with Mrs. [illegible].

1939. Ironed some. Walked to cottage near Lake for lunch with Mrs. Zentner. Mrs. Hefty took us to Comm. Guild at Rabe's. I gave talk on "Spring Refurbishing" To grocery shower in eve at Ph. B. school for Viola [Fear?]. Played 500.
