APRIL 15 1936 Didn't sleep well - getting to be rather rare for me - but it laid me out for all day. Baked bread 1937 Mending. Cloudy. Went to library with Hans. Read all of Carveth Wells' "Bermuda in Three Colours". 1938. Hans drove in as we were washing. Shower. We looked at places to rent in Madison, then Hans was good + ready to decide on the Miller place. 1939. Packed lunch, etc. Went to Madison till Signe was out of German class at 10, then she drove to Dubuque then on bus to see Ella at Mt. Vernon. Frank Hilda + I went to Epworth. Talked to M. Seamonds family. Called on Sophie Miller, Levi Maxwell's + had supper at Pauline's Aux. party at L. Maxwells', 2 Chinese Checkers and [lexicon?] 19
