April 21 1936. Ironing, mending. Got Pauline + went to Breneman's for IV division aid to plan for hobby show. 6 of us there. At Allen's in eve. Began Vivian's sweater 1937. Canned 7 pt. whole wheat. Had charge of Lenten offering at WHMS at Jennie Maxwell's. 11 there. Went with Hans + Frank in eve to Breneman's, G. Scott's, Hawkins' + Miehe's to talk up forum mtg. 1938. Signe helped me with a huge washing - 7 pr. curtains, 3 rugs, etc. Very tired. Kathryn home from over night at Brandt's after we were done. I made first rhubarb pie. Made over 2 of Hans' neckties for Frank. 1939. Washed kitchen windows, ironed old curtains + put in bathroom, hung new ones in kitchen. Finished top of house dress. Wrote Grace Kirkpatrick. Baked angel food. 19
