April 26 19 7 in S.S. class. Hans & Frank home for dinner then we drove 80 miles (I did 50 or so) to village of Graham in Clayton Co. & to Pine Hollow for supper. Hans feverish in eve. 19 Cut out Signe's blue seersucker dress & seamed up skirt; baked bread, baked cocoa cream roll; helped Frank move his bed back to his own room. 19 Sent cards to Bess [Eder?], Mrs. Randall, Dora. Baked bread and rhubarb pie. Washed 7 prs. curtains, ironed 5. Hemmed 4 dish towels. Wrote Hans & Velma. Up to 79° in P.M. 19 Wild wind whipped my washing. 80° Baked doughnuts before breakfast. Mended. Worked on speech for next Tues. Napped an hr. Gerald Bartel is reading "Song of Years by Bess. S Aldrich over WHA Forsythia out 19
