August 11 1936. Big washing. Called on Mrs. Reeder them went to official board mtg. 1937. Dressed 3 hens by 8:30, Signe helping them she canned them. I took in entries for Flower Show from 9 to 12:30, helped sort out classes for judges in P.M. & award prizes in eve. Signe got first on giant zinnias. 167 there 1938. No more ice packs. Left hospital at 2 with Hilda. Very hard to eat. Silked & cut [corn?] to dry. Hans home in eve from Stevens Point. 1939. Got last shot this mo (I hope) and Kathryn got her glasses. Rheumatism in shoulders. Cleaned 2 bedrooms, entry, etc. made apple jelly. K. made bread & choc. cookies. 19
