Doctors Tucker, Crane and Wesson mumble over the patient.... CRANE: Next to the constitution of Japan, that of the NFFF is the worst I have ever seen. It is too long, too foggy. We need a new one, brief and clear. Why can't the President appoint a committee of three to thrash the thing out and report in a year? Such an act you sidetrack much of the inevitable tinkering which our present inept document inspires and (possibly) give us something workable. Any constitution should state the following: 1. Name, 2. She's and method of election to membery. 3. Officers and their duties and powers. 4. Method of conducting elections. 5. Method of amending the constitution. 6. Parlimentary authority. That's all. It's quite simple, if you make up your mind in advance what you wish to accomplish. You might start in this manner: ARTICLE I - Name The name of this association shall be the Fantasy Guild. ARTICLE II - Membership Any person may become a member by sending $2 annual dues to the Secretary - Treasurer. Dues expire annually in January 1. ARTICLE III - Officers Section 1 - Officers, elected annually and serving from February 1, shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary -Treasurer, Official Editor and three Judges. Their duties and powers shall be those that ordinarily attach to such offices, plus the following: Section2 - The President may remove any Officer who fails adequately to perform his duties. Section 3 - The Vice-President shall head the recruiting and welcoming committee of the Guild. Section 4 - The Secretary -Treasurer shall send out proxy ballots as directed in Article IV. Section 5 - The Official Editor shall publish
