Seashore of the graduate college delivered the freshman lecture Thursday. The speaker emphasized the need of mental health in order to have the best bodily health. Dean Aurner announced that last week twenty girls failed in the test in writing the University of Iowa song and Old Gold. Miss Clara M. Daly told of the necessity of sacrifice in the United War Work campaign. Miss Dorweiler urged University women to give attention to the opportunities offered in the Women's Forensic league. NAME JUNIOR TICKET Junior class officers were nominated at meeting held Thursday in the liberal arts drawing room. The ticket includes the following candidates: for president, Alice Hinkley, Margaret Hays, Katherine Dayton; vice-president, Mary Moss, Grace Altschuler; secretary, Ophelia Miller, Elizabeth Bates; treasurer, Esther Graves, Lucile Becker; corresponding secretary, Helen Mackintosh, Ethel Verry; class delegate, Morgan Foster; athletic representative, Clarence Greibling. Election will be held next Wednesday. Nominations were made by ballot by the entire class. HUMANISTS MEET The Humanist society will hold its first meeting of the school year at the home of Prof. and Mrs. C. B. Wilson, 323 N. Capitol street, Monday evening, Nov. 8. Prof. E. N. S.
