community and country a better place in which to live insofar as his effort, humble as it may be, will help produce that result.  This service to society and country can be exercised in private business as well as in governmental affairs.  Certainly, a business man should strive for honesty in his advertising and to market a worthwhile product as economically as reasonably possible.  This idea of working just to make money or setting up in business just as a means to a livelihood is all wrong.  There is no doubt that a majority of our corporations and business establishments have been fostered on such a premise.  However, that such a thought animated their endeavours is one of the main causes for our distressing predicament today.  It seems to me absolutely necessary, and in reality a joy, that a young man starting out in the world should be imbued with a desire to benefit mankind and society by his work and service - whether that be in the field of business, law or something else.
