Sunday (Jan. 29th 1939) Cher Famille: I am not settled in my new room in the Phi Psi house proper. I moved in Friday morning and spent the whole afternoon cleaning up the room. Such disorder I have never seen. It will be a new experience to room with someone who has no particular sense of order; but an experience which I am sure I shall survive. My new position is going to give me all the experience I had planned on and more too, perhaps. You see we need a new house badly. Much has been said in the past two years, but nothing has been done. It looks as if this must be the year for some definite steps. We don't want to build. but do want to take over one of the several houses that are badly in debt here on campus or completely
