Iowa Association of the Amateur Athletic Union Emmetsburg, Iowa, April 6th, 1939. Mr. Nile Kinnick, 5024 Hamilton, Omaha, N E B R. Dear Mr. Kinnick: I appreciated your note very much. What I had that resembled a manuscript was taken by the Sioux City Journal after the broadcast. However, the other day I sent Nile a copy of the article In the sports sheet of the Journal, and asked him to take it to you when he went home for spring vacation, and if he were not going to send it to you. If I had thought this thing would kick up so much interest in Sioux City, I would have summarized it for the paper. The article is pretty well garbled as to town, etc., but to one who does not know the boys, it doesn't matter, I am enclosing you an article from last night's Fort Dodge Messenger with many flattering references to Nile. I am sure that he is going to end up his competitive days in a blaze of glory, and he deserves it. Thanks again for your courtesy. Very truly yours, James W. Fay JAMES W. FAY JWF-H. Encl.
