April 10, 1939 Mr. James W. Fay Emmetsburg, Iowa Dear Mr. Fay: Thank you again for your kindness, in sending as the clipping from the Fort Dodge paper. It was a nice one, and I sincerely hope the good wishes of all lowans will be amply fulfilled next fall in a satisfying comeback for the Iowa team. Nile was home for three days last week and we had a good but very fleeting visit with him. Saturday he went back to Adel with me and expects to go on to Iowa City on Monday. He had your recent letter which enclosed the piece from the Sioux City paper, so I have seen the news report of your radio talk there. I have no doubt that the work that you and others are doing for Iowa will bear good fruit in the coming years, in leading more of our Iowa boys to enroll at the University, and being somewhat interested in Iowa State I shall bear the same wish for that institution. It is a labor of love and loyalty that you are in, and I know that you have endeared yourself to one boy at the University. With kind regards, I am Yours very truly [Nile Kinnick, Sr.]
