May 25th, 1939 Dear SB: Both of your cards have been received and contents noted. It is hardly a question of which day will be "more preferable", but rather a question of which is possible, I can say that it will not be the 31st, and may be the 2nd. I wrote a note to Bob Stacy last Monday asking if he can make the excursion, on the following schedule. I can drive the sedan back to Ames on the 31st, pick up Ben's duffle, and return to Adel for that night. Bobcould take the Sedan to IC on Thursday morning, the 1st, and return to Adel with you that aft; making it possible for you to drive on to Omaha Friday. In tho event that Bob cannot make it, or cannot locate anyone else in Adel who wants to make that trip, I shall try to arrange to drive down on Friday morning, My schedule will be for Ames on Wednesday and Greenfield on Thursday. Tentatively, I am booked for Red Oak on Friday, but if Bob can't make it, I hope to cancel the Red Oak date for the IC trip. Word should come from Bob tomorrow, and I shall write you immediately. The proposal in paragraph two also contemplates another man from the Bank driving another car to Ames and taking me from Adel to Greenfield to Omaha. That part is practically set, and I mention it so that you may know how I plan to complete the trip home. We expect to see you soon. Love Pop
