Tho we were tanned when we left this dry country has our face peeling because of the dryness. All the young kids are in the same shape but the older boys seem to stand it alright. All the family are wonderful people. Wyman is a little taller than Ben & about same weight & Gene is about 5'11" & weighs about 150 or 155. He'll probably be a big man some day. He is going to Ames next fall & already the fraternities are writing him. Mary is a very nice girl & fairly good looking. The little boy gives me quite a wallop & the other two girls are regular tomboys. The way things are done down here makes me want to be a farmer again but that probably will fade.
Our football seems to leak everywhere & I think it might be due to the hot attic so perhaps you'd better take the basketball into the basement.
We are having a fine time & tho we were pretty thin when we got in we are doing better now.
Grandpa & the rest of the Haywards give their best regards & wish you were here.
